VICTRON BMV501 DATA CONNECTION RS232
This control station for your battery allows data connection with an isolated RS-232 interface port.
The main function of a battery monitor is to calculate the amp-hours consumed and the state of charge of a battery. The amp-hours consumed are calculated by integrating the current flowing into or out of the battery. Each BMV 501 is equipped with an isolated RS-232 interface port ready for data connection.
All you need to connect to your PC is the Data Link Kit, which consists of a communications cable, a converter and the Data Link software. This feature allows you to download and process almost every aspect of battery and system performance, including charging/discharging.
To ensure the BMV 501 functions optimally, it is important that the installation is carried out using the best materials. The connection set consists of a multi-core cable, inline fuse inserts and holders, a pack of cable end terminals and much more.
