Description

The galvanic isolator is installed directly behind the boat's 230 V inlet and helps to prevent electrolytic corrosion. It blocks low DC voltage flowing into the boat via the earth wire of the shore power supply.

Application

For boats with a shore power connection that are to be protected against corrosion caused by direct currents in the earth wire of the shore power supply.

Selection guide

The maximum current (16, 32 or 64 A) is selected to match the boat's shore connection.

Safety note

The isolator is fitted in the green protective earth conductor, ahead of all earth connections of the vessel, and is mounted vertically with approx. 10 cm clearance. Installation by a qualified electrician in accordance with local regulations.
