Personal locator beacon rescueME PLB1

Description

In an emergency, the compact rescueME PLB1 transmits its GPS position with a unique identifier via the 406 MHz satellite system to a ground station (RCC), which notifies the responsible rescue services. On scene, the 121.5 MHz homing signal and an extremely bright LED strobe light guide rescuers to the person. The beacon is worn on a lifejacket or belt, the antenna is simply pulled out, and in most situations it can be activated with one hand.

Selection guide

Please state when ordering whether the PLB is to be programmed to an individual (UK programming) or to the vessel's MMSI number – for vessels under the German flag, additionally with the vessel's name. Initial programming is included; registration to an individual is currently only possible in the United Kingdom. The PLB1 does not float on its own; a matching flotation pack is available for this.
