Vertical rope/chain windlass RC8
Description
The RC8 is the mid-range model of the vertical RC series: it handles rope and chain automatically when the rope is spliced to the chain. The gearbox is a precision worm gear of hard-anodised aluminium in an oil bath.

- Rope spliced to the chain – the rope/chain gypsy takes the splice
- Manual freefall and emergency operation via the handle/clutch lever
- Top parts of stainless steel and chrome-plated bronze
- At anchor, take the load off the windlass with a chain stopper or chain hook (manufacturer's requirement)
- With or without capstan, for various deck thicknesses
Application
For cruising yachts with rope/chain rodes, optionally with a capstan for mooring lines and sheets.
