Horizontal rope/chain windlass HRC10
Description
The HRC10 is the horizontal successor series of Maxwell's fully automatic rope/chain windlasses. The front section of hard-anodised die-cast aluminium carries the patented Wave Design gypsy, which compensates for differences in chain pitch; the gearbox runs in a sealed oil bath.

- Cone clutch for manual freefall and retrieval with emergency handle
- Installation entirely above deck
- With or without capstan, electric 12/24 V or hydraulic
- At anchor, take the load off the windlass with a chain stopper or chain hook (manufacturer's requirement)
Application
For cruising yachts with a combined rope/chain rode whose anchor locker requires a horizontal windlass.
