Data recorder VDR100 for NMEA 2000 networks

Description

The data recorder stores the data of your NMEA 2000 network for more than a year, depending on the size of the connected USB flash drive. After collisions or system failures the data can be analysed; on charter boats it shows whether there was a grounding, which alarms were triggered and how much fuel was consumed on average.

Features

• Records every message on the NMEA 2000 network to a USB flash drive
• Storage requirement at 25 % network load: approx. 5 GB per week, 21 GB per month, 248 GB per year
• Non-volatile memory – old data is only overwritten when the memory is full
• Analysis on a PC or laptop with the free N2KExtractor software, export as CSV file for spreadsheets
• Monitoring of charter guests: groundings, triggered alarms, fuel consumption
• Waterproof housing; waterproof USB cover PX0852 available as an accessory

Application

Securing evidence after collisions and system failures, and monitoring charter boats with an NMEA 2000 network.

Selection guide

The system must include a GPS receiver that transmits PGN 126992 (system time) – without the time, the recorded data cannot be assigned. Do not format a written drive under Windows, as the data will be lost; read it out with N2KExtractor.
