Matting agent Gelomat for paints and varnishes
Description
Gelomat is added to coatings to achieve a matt to satin sheen. Simply mixing it with paint or varnish before application sets the level of matting from very matt to semi-gloss. Despite its gel-like consistency it thins paint and varnish, so additional thinning is not necessary.
Features
- Very matt varnish film: Gelomat and varnish in equal parts
- Satin film, semi-matt: 1/3 Gelomat to 2/3 varnish
- Satin effect, semi-gloss: Gelomat and varnish in a ratio of 1:3
- For paints, mix with half the amount stated for varnish
- Always mix in the same ratio – for an even effect
- The number of coats remains unchanged so that opacity is correct
- Stir well before use
Application
For adjusting the gloss level of paints and varnishes, for example for a satin rather than glossy finish.
Safety note
Gelomat is flammable: close tightly after use and store away from heat sources.
